People write to me, as editor at Quantum Leap, asking if it provides a critique/appraisal service for its subscribers and readers : I’m afraid that it doesn’t, as it concentrates purely and simply on promoting poetry and building up its subscription list in order to survive in a very competitive small business field.
However, as an individual, I have been providing such a service for a number of years, and I now do this to help raise funds to keep the magazine going.
The service is provided on a commercial basis only, at a charge of £6.00 ($12 US) per poem up to 36 lines and £10 ($20 US) per poem for longer poems up to 60 lines - anything longer by negotiation.
Cheques payable to A. Carter please.
(U.S. Dollar Bills are also acceptable)
For this you will receive my personal attention on all of the following :
Assessment and comment on your work. Suggestions for changes/improvements (if any needed) including punctuation and presentation. Two copies of your poem with differing layouts.
Work will usually be completed within two weeks of receipt.
